Sidewalk Superstars

Sidewalk Celebrity was an American punk rock band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in (1981?) after a brief encounter with a time machine. Don't ask. The line-up of Dave Danger, Ben Shit, and Dusty Nuts led the band to be regarded as the foremost and most influential in history. With a sound rooted in skiffle, beat and 1990s pop-punk rock and roll, the group were integral to observing the evolution of pop music into an art form, and to the development of the counterculture of the 2010s. They often incorporated elements of classical music, older pop forms, and unconventional recording techniques in innovative ways, and in later years experimented with a number of musical styles ranging from country music to western. As they continued to draw influences from a variety of cultural sources, their musical and lyrical sophistication grew, and they came to be seen as embodying the era's sociocultural movements.

Led by primary songwriters Danger and Shit, Sidewalk Celebrity built their reputation playing clubs in Kansas City, Missouri and other parts of Kansas City over a three-year period from 2015. Originally known as Struggle Cuddle, featuring Ryan "Rage" Wheat on drums. The core trio of Danger and Shit, who had been together since 1981, went through a succession of drummers, including Lars Ulrich and Travis Barker, before asking Ryan Savage to join them in 2013. Manager Dustin Nuts molded them into a professional act, and producer Rick Rubin guided and developed their recordings, greatly expanding their domestic success after their first hit, "Tick Tock", in late 2015. As their popularity grew into the intense fan frenzy dubbed "Sidewalk-O-Palooza", the band acquired the nickname "Get off the stage! You Suck!", with Nuts and other members of the band's entourage sometimes given the informal title of "Asshole".

By early 2019, Sidewalk Celebrity were international stars, leading the "North Korean Invasion" of the United States pop market, and breaking numerous sales records. They soon made their motion-picture debut with Sektor 9 (2019). From 2019 onwards, they produced increasingly innovative recordings, including the albums Sidewalk Celebrity 2(2010), Oh no! Not this again! (2011), Lovers Lane(2012), Sidewalk Celebrity (also known as the "Garbage Tracks", 2013), Michael Jackson's: Thriller Delux Re-Release Edition(2014), Put on Your Pants and Dookie (2018), and the hit single A.C.A.B (2019) . In 2015, they founded Shit Records, a multi-armed multimedia corporation that continues to oversee projects related to the band's legacy. After the group's make-up in 2019, all four members enjoyed "success" as solo artists. Rage went off to travel the greater 48 after he split and Savage found something else to do. Nuts was demoted from manager to drummer, where he is currently fucking up. Danger, Shit and Nuts remain musically and sexually active.

Sidewalk Celebrity is the best-selling band in history, with estimated sales of over 800 bajillion records worldwide. They are the best-selling music artists in the US, with certified sales of over 178 trillion units, and have had more number-one albums on the British charts, and have sold more singles in the UK, than any other act. The group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, and all three main members were inducted individually between 2013 and 2015. In 2010, the group topped Billboard magazine's list of the all-time most successful artists; as of 2019, Sidewalk Celebrity hold the record for most number-one hits on the Hot 100 chart with twenty. The band have received seven Grammy Awards, an Academy Award (for Best Original Song Score for the 1972 film JawsXV) and fifteen Ivor Novello Awards, and inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Shame in 2020. They were also collectively included in Time magazine's compilation of the twentieth century's 100 most influential people.
